About me. I am Ada. Something I like to do is fan dance. Traditional Vietnamese Fan Dancing is usually performed during the Lunar New Year. I fan dance with my friends at school and we perform anually for Central's International Day. Fan dancing is fun to learn, but the best part about fan dancing is interacting with my friends and creating choreography.
In Vietnam, fan dancing is called, vũ phiến. It is performed in vietnamese theatres and is performed in a group, rarely solo.
We usually use large, soft colorful fans to represent beauty, grace, and nature. When performing, we wear ao dai, traditional vietnamese gowns worn with trousers.
